CapLab Post-Release Beta V2.7.15 full version installer

Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta V2.7.15 full version installer has been released.

To install it, download it from http://www.capitalismlab.com/account/do ... _beta.html (login required) and run the installer.

IMPORTANT: YOU MUST FIRST UNINSTALL OLD VERSIONS OF CAPITALISM LAB POST-RELEASE BETA PRIOR TO V2.7.00 FROM YOUR COMPUTER, BEFORE INSTALLING THIS NEW VERSION. And if you have your own customized MOD_KIT data in the old version, please make sure that you do a backup before uninstall or deleting the files.

Please note that this is an update containing a considerable number of new features and improvements that may be prone to bugs. You are advised to download this version only if you do not mind testing a beta version.

(Save game files and MODs from older versions are not compatible with this new version.)

New Features
1) New COO Policy – freight cost concern.

2) The game will now automatically generate descriptions for firms.

3) Added a firm description field for apartments and commercial buildings.

4) Increased the maximum number of AI competitors from 30 to 40.

5) New portraits

6) Revamped Farmer’s Guide and improved Manager’s Guide

7) Added a button on the in-game menu for opening the hotkey list web page.

8) Support for MOD banners. See this web page for details: http://www.capitalismlab.com/how-to-make-a-mod.html or the instructions below.

Create a banner for your MOD.

• The banner image should be in PNG file format.
• The size should be 750 x 125 pixels.
• The file name of the banner should be the same as the MOD file, with ".PNG" file extension. e.g. If your MOD file is called "MyMOD.RES", then your MOD banner image file should be named as "MyMOD.PNG".


9) MOD supports customization of certain building images in the game.

10) Added shortcut CTRL-S key to quick-save the current game into “QuickSave.SAV” file.

11) A new "Redirect Clients" button will be available on the Sales Unit interface of firms that supply raw materials or products to other firms.

If any of your other firms have broken supply links which requires the same item that this Sales unit is selling, you may use this button to redirect the supply link to the current Sales unit.

For instance, your mine’s reserve has exhausted, and you have just built a new mine, then you may use this button to redirect supply links to the new mine.


Bug Fixes:
-A bug with the save game menu where the portrait and logo display may be incorrect when a MOD is in used. –
-Fixed various display issues with localized text.

Good job, dev team.

I find a new problem about the localization file: <game_root>/Translate/t_game.txt can't be load.
Should I move all translate content to translate/translate.txt ?

I'm having a problem. There is no Mod folder within the installed 2.7 Where do we place the MOD files in order to load them for the game?

Please create a MOD folder on your own on Windows Explorer.

p.s. The latest v2.7.02 installer has this problem fixed and it will create the MOD folder.

Ok, so i tried to download the most recent version and google chrome marked it as a malicious software. Could you guys verify if it is a false alarm?

I paid the game, registered my account, downloaded and installed the the newest version 2.7.11 but the SHIFT + 6789 ingame cheat isn't working.
I'm playing it on a laptop.

Please try typing these 4 special characters in a row "^&*(" for activating the cheat mode.
