CapLab Post-Release Beta version 2.2.00 patch is now available.

You may download the latest patch 2.2.00 from:
http://www.capitalismlab.com/capserver/ ... 002200.zip

Then extract the ZIP file to your Capitalism Lab program folder. You can open your Capitalism Lab program folder by right-clicking on the Capitalism Lab game icon and select “Properties”, then select “Open File Location” to open the Capitalism Lab program folder.

(savegame files from the previous versions are not compatible with this new version.)

Change to the Stock Market Simulation
Added a new [Alternative Stock Sim] option on the New Game Setting menu’s Environment page.

If this is set to Yes, 1) stock prices are unaffected by the current economic state, and 2) stock trading between the player's company and its subsidiaries is prohibited, thus making it harder to speculate stocks for quick profits.

Capitalism Lab is a separate product from Capitalism 2. As far as I know, Capitalism Lab is only available from http://www.capitalismlab.com/buy-game.html

idd, even though crash happened in 2013; I merged with two other companies in 2011 and 2012
in my 2012 save; after I merged, I see 25 companies, on that ss (2013) it says only 22 corporations.
I guess they bankrupted/friendly merged and I clicked at the same second there.
