Grouping retail stores

Post by UsF »

I wanted to ask if it would be possible (maybe I missed it) to link retail stores to all carry the same items, have the same settings, basically be clones of each other. Grouping retail stores to carry the same setup with the same linked items to reduce the micromanagement and make it easier to have a retail chain carrying the same items with the same prices. Once you start changing a linked object, every other linked object will be changed.

It would be really nice if you are setting up chains of stores, though I am not too deep in the game yet to know if you would want different sales prices in the town for different locations. That could probably be excluded from the grouping of stores if it is important.

This a idea I proposed awhile back
CORPORATION-Division
Where you can assign assets of the corporation into its own division allowing the Divisions to have there own brand strategies within the corporation. As well you can Give the Division a Name and that's what the brand and logo will be for that Divisions products and assets. You can also specify the Product range you want that division to specialize in with a DOO. Division can not borrow money the DOO must ask you for money Required unless funds are allocated to the division yearly in the new budget unit in the headquarters

How to Develop
Create a new building Called Division like the headquarters

Units the Division would need

Division Operating Officer
The Roll of the DOO is to make sure the Division is taken care of just like the CEO but you do not need one to run a division. Having a DOO will allow you to transform a Division into Subsidiaries of your corporation or divisions can be put up for sale in the division office and any assets under that division will be sold with the division. The DOO will have a option where you can choose the product range or ranges you want the division to specialize in.

Division Marketing Officer
The DMO Allows you to choose the brand strategies of the division and have a separate one to the corporation.

Division Tech Officer
The DTO works the same as the CTO but will allow the Division to focus on one range of products. like Drugs, Cosmetic and Bath Supplies or many its up to you. But the Tech Discovered by a Division is part of that Division and stays with the Division until you Dismantle the Division Fully or fire that Divisions tech officer and get rid of the unit out of the divisions head office.
If a Division is Sold all Tech will be sold with it. If A Division is using the Corporations Tech and you sell the Division Without a DTO in place all product Tech will Stay with corporation and the division will be sold without any of your Corporations Tech

Finance Department
This unit will decide how much of profits are transferred to the Corporation just like a dividend to a share holder or you can do a one off payment to the corporation. If you don't have a DOO you don't need a finance department. all division profits will work like any other firm in corporation.

Property Unit
This unit is where you set what assets you want the division to have or allow the division to build

Subsidiaries
Subsidiaries can be merged into a Corporation as a Division allowing the Current CEO to remain in charge of running it but will be Demoted to a DOO you can then decide what assets they can build and what they cant through the property unit. the benefits of merging Subsidiaries into corporation as a division is you get to keep the name and the brand of all the products. The only thing that cannot be transferred is tech . Firms can be transferred to corporation out of division
