Internationalization problem.

Post by ayumi »

Internationalization problem.

We report found some problems in the translation.

1.If the city name is more than six characters garbled.
I want you to look at the Fig1.
Will string buffer is not in short supply. (UTF-8: 3bytes / letter)

2. Cannot translate description of King of Capitalism (Fig2)
Translate.TXT: I tried the following 3 pattern but all NG

To become the undisputed King of Capitalism, you must be financially savvy enough to grow your company's market cap to |
billion while retaining at least 80 % of its equity shares, and achieve all the subgoals.|
To become the undisputed King of Capitalism, you must be financially savvy enough to grow your company's market cap to % billion while retaining at least 80 % of its equity shares, and achieve all the subgoals.|

3.Drawing position of the hot keys are based on the assumption the original text.(Fig3)
this is farm unit select window.
Advertising, Crop Growing, Livestock Raising, Livestock Processing, Inventory, Sales.
Ex)
if( wcscmp( text, "Adversting" ) == 0 ){
The same program code as the current.
} else{
new append the hot key letter program code
}

4.Translation is not reflected(Fig4)
Perhaps the cause is character '%'

5."Internal Sale" hotkey has broken.(Fig5)
If I have to change here so hot key is valid, influence comes into a place that does not have a different location of the hot key.
Because I want you to separate the words or define MESSAGE-ID.

6.Translation is not reflected(Fig6)
this original string:
None of the Purchasing Units in any of your firms presently lack supply of this type of product.[0x0A]Thus no actions have been taken.

The LF code divided into two lines to change the NULL character, or also include the LF want to replace the contents of the Translate.TXT.

The sentence is due to google translation, there may be a place where meaning is confusing.

7.Tutorial script(Tutorial [1-8].txt) Non-US ASCII is used in [LOCKS] section.
char code is 0xa1,0xaf. may be apostrophe?
I in our language can not handle this character correctly.
Because this character come out is a problem when convert to UTF-8, I'm glad and make for single quotes.

thank you for reading.

regards.

Please change the encoding of the TXT files to “UTF-8 without BOM” and it will fix this problem.

Capitalism Lab uses Unicode for its text files. So after you have opened a text file with NotePad++, you must select “Encoding” - “UTF-8 without BOM” from the menu. (See below)

More details: http://www.capitalismlab.com/how-to-tra ... -text.html

----------------------------

Other translation issues have been fixed in the latest patch v3.3.02. Please download it from http://www.capitalismlab.com/forum/view ... =37&t=3369

Please note that this new version of Capitalism Lab has updated versions of the following files, which may contain new translation text:
gm_help.txt
help.txt
t_game.txt

You may use WinMerge to merge the old version and the new version of the translation text files, and merge them so that your translation files will contain the latest translation text.

WinMerge can be downloaded for free at: http://winmerge.org/?lang=en

------------

As for the crash with Accomplishment game, I tested it and it worked well without any problems. Please try the latest version and see if it works for you.

Thank you to immediately investigate.
Please change the encoding of the TXT files to “UTF-8 without BOM” and it will fix this problem.
I was sure now, in any text in the attachment, Byte-Order-Mark (0xEF 0xBB 0xBF) does not have something. Try to check by using a binary editor please.

sample)Translate.TXT:

Code: Select all

$ od -t x1 -t c Translate.txt |head -2
0000000 53 74 6f 63 6b 20 50 72 69 63 65 20 47 72 61 70
          S t o c k P r i c e G r a p
(I do not know whether there is a similar command of the od command to Windows.
I was able to at if previous Windows debug.exe, but not now.)

file command if investigate the encoding of the text is very convenient.

Code: Select all

$ file Translate.txt
Translate.txt: assembler source, UTF-8 Unicode text, with very long lines, with CRLF line terminators
(od and file command has been almost installed on unix-based OS.)
Other translation issues have been fixed in the latest patch v3.3.02.

Thank you for letting me know. I want to test on the weekend.

By the way, is this the DLC-only binary?
Have to buy the user will be released in the future DLC, it means that it will not be modified for the user to play the original version?
(In this case, I will use the word original version in the sense that version without DLC)

Or, do you use the same binaries on DLC and the original version?

There is no problem even if the test in the unfinished binary if the latter, if the former, no match to my purpose.

Because this game is worth playing, I want to spread to people English is not good, including me.
When interested, knowing the play in their native language, interest will more deepen.
I was translated in such purpose. So, I do not want to assume the installation of the DLC.
Everyone is not expected to purchase the DLC.

Besides, ordinary users do not think to install the beta version. It is desirable to modify the release version for the ordinary user.
Moreover, the people who try the beta version, will not need a translation.
This game is they like, because they would have already beyond the language of the wall.

Because this software is a great software, I wish to spread beyond the wall of language.

I am grateful if you will take this into consideration.
As for the crash with Accomplishment game, I tested it and it worked well without any problems.
Thank you for testing.
Be sure to crash in my environment.
It does not fix it if it does not reproduce.

If "Market Dominance of the Livestock Products Industry" string there is no any problems even try on the screen is translated string is displayed, it might be the Japanese version Windows10 specific problem.

Even so, even though there is no problem in the other string, or to crash only this string, I do not know why.

For reference, I'll post the character code of the translation.
0000000 e5 b8 82 e5 a0 b4 e3 81 a7 e3 81 ae e5 ae b6 e7
0000020 95 9c e8 a3 bd e5 93 81 e7 94 a3 e6 a5 ad e3 81
0000040 ae e6 94 af e9 85 8d 7c 0d 0a

Thank you for your full support.

1) You can use NotePad++ (download for free from: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/) to convert the text to “UTF-8 without BOM” format. Please see this page for the detailed instructions: http://www.capitalismlab.com/how-to-tra ... -text.html

2) We have just released a new update for the Release version 2.7.25C with the translation fixes.
Please download it from:
http://www.capitalismlab.com/forum/view ... f=7&t=3043

3) About the crash for the Accomplishment game, it is fixed in this 2.7.25C patch as well.

Because I have that does not have the means to know the string to be displayed in advance, I want you to forgive to be a sequential report.

1. Text of the attached image does not reflect the translation.(REVERSE_STOCK_SPLIT.png)

2. Tutorial 4 can not continue.
tut04.txt : line 390
original: Unit Linked=Sales, Advertising, 3, 5
suggest changes: Unit Linked=Sales, Advertising, 2, 5

3. City-name's To-fu is 2.7.25C even as ever.
UTF-8 in the multi-byte character is because it is 3 bytes 3 * 6 = 18 bytes or more of the character, which will be To-fu.
I wonder if future improvements?
