New Features and Improvements:
New Icon Mode for the Build Firm Menu
A new graphical interface for the Build Firm menu, improving the overall UI aesthetics.
You can switch between text mode and icon mode by clicking the switch button below the Build Firm menu.
New Feature for the Experimental DLC: Built-in Advertising Unit
This new feature allows you to advertise products individually with a built-in advertising unit that does not occupy any space in the 3x3 layout in your retail stores, factories, farms and warehouses.
Gone are the days when you could only set one advertising budget with media for all the products you were promoting. Built-in advertising units now allow you to set different advertising budgets for different products.
Previously, players would rarely run advertising from a factory due to space constraints. Now you can easily advertise from your factory. This will open up new possibilities for gameplay and strategy.
Improved Convenience Store building
Added the “Open 24h” sign to make it look even more eye-catching.
Interface improvements
Added an icon on the Manufacturer guide – hover it to show the types of retail or service firms where this current product can be sold.
On the in-game option menu (shortcut key “O” to open it), there is a new option that allows you to change the interface behavior of right-clicking anywhere on a window to close it. This option will be useful to users who found right-clicking on [+][-] spinners too often unintentionally closing interface windows.
Added [On][Off] switches for Music and Sound Effects on the Option menu, for conveniently turning them on and off, in addition to the existing volume sliders.
MOD Downloader
The game can now download the RealWorld Mod from in-game and install it for you in the background. To do so, open the Mod menu and click on the RealWorld Mod banner which is grayed out initially.
Speech for Tutorials and Scenario Descriptions
Now all the tutorials and descriptions of scenarios have speech accompanying the text.
Note: Since the speech is in English only, the game will automatically disable speech when the game is running in a non-English language.
Inclusion of User Translated Text in the Game Installer
We have implemented a new function that allows the user to select from available translations.
To change the language, select [Settings] from the main menu, then click the [Language] tab and choose a language.
The translated text of different languages will be included in the official Capitalism Lab installer so that users do not have to download the translation files separately.
Being included in the installer, translation files of different languages will be placed in the respective subfolders under <Capitalism Lab folder>/Languages. (e.g. <Capitalism Lab folder>/Languages/Dutch contains Dutch translation files.)
