after downloading the .zip file which contains the updated files, do the following:
- Right click on the downloaded patch, which in this case, is 2.6.14 patch, and select "Extract files...".
- Step-1.jpg (115.28 KiB) Viewed 18261 times
- Choose the location where you installed Capitalism Lab. In my case, C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Capitalism Lab
- Step-2.jpg (161.88 KiB) Viewed 18261 times
- Choose "Yes to All" to replace the old version files with the new ones.

Saved games of the beta version will be compatible with the release version when the beta-testing is over?

No, in future versions there will be changes that will make most save games incompatible.
of-course there still some "small updates" to the game engine sometimes, where savegames will be compatible.
In every game version available for download u will see the text "savegames before version xx.xx are not compatible"
