Quick Question when you tell the CMO to only advertise via the companies "owned" media firm does this include subsidiary companies? If not this needs to be implemented into the management policies for the CMO.

i think each company is able to hire its own cmo... i think your suggestion does not make any sense because each company is autonomous in its management. (at least at this stage )

Let me make my suggestion make more sense.

My company owns 75% of a Media company, which makes it a wholly-owned subsidiary, my company doesn't have any media firms that it runs directly. We're just starting to advertise products now that their quality level has reached a respectable level. We brought on a CMO which I want to handle advertising but I want her (Helen Smith) to use the subsidiary media firms in the markets where its available.

My Suggestion

Add a management option for the CMO where we can elect the CMO to advertise only with own or subsidiary owned media firms.

Hopefully this makes a little more sense.
