Cannot issue new shares for my own company

Post by GretelMK2 »

Hey all,

I've googled every phrase I can search for but I can't find why my "Maximum Number of Shares that can be issued" in the Financial Action tab is always 0.

I'm playing a new custom game with all the DLCs enabled. I tried this about 5 years into a game, I tried it right when I started, I tried it after buying back almost all the shares of my company in existence. Same result: Max Shares Issues = 0

The tutorial showed me this as a tool useful for fundraising...but it doesn't seem to work. I'm happy to provide more info if needed. Hopefully it's just a setting or something simple I missed.

Thanks so much!

Have you tried decreasing the issue price? Normally, when you issue new shares at a lower price, you will be able to issue a larger quantity of shares.

It looks like it starts at the lowest possible value. Here's my screen:

I can't seem to set it any lower. Anything else it can be?

We will investigate the problem.

Could you please provide us with your save game file and let us know the following?
1) Which version of Capitalism Lab you are using. You can see the version number on the top-right of the main menu.
2) If your savegame uses a MOD, please let us know the name of the MOD and the MOD's version number.

You can find save game files of Capitalism Lab from:
C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\My Games\Capitalism Lab\SAVE

You may email the save game file to us at info@enlight.com.

If your save game file is too large for attachment, you may check out this post about how to send us large files: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2473

Email sent, subject matches the one for this thread. No mods used, all DLC except bank used.

I'm super appreciative at the quick response!

I've forwarded your save game to the programmer. He will check it soon.

I will keep you updated.

Our programmer has identified a bug with issuing new shares that occurs when you use a script to set the initial capital of your company to a value above $200M.

The bug has been fixed and will be in the next patch v5.7.14. But it will require you start a new game for the new code to take effect.

Just got the same problem but my company is under 200M. Any clues on why it might be happening?
