Re: Problem with the tutorial files

I'm doing de tuto 5.

If I take my time to read what is written, most of the time the amount to buy is greater than the amount available.

Unfortunately, the tutorial does not take into account the fact that you want to buy too many shares ; we can't buy .

we cannot buy less shares than we are offering to do the "right thing".

In addition, the "you don't have enough money" part stays rather long.

It's why we could :
  1. Being able to buy less than what is offered.
  2. Give an explanation as to why we don't have enough money, and that we need to be "less greedy".
  3. Putting the game on pause from the start would automatically solve this problem.

I have this same problem in the Portuguese version too.

I've forward the details to the dev team. They will fix it in the next major version 6.8.00.

I'm writing this here because it is relevant to all translators.
Note that if the file update system of cap_lab works after translation, the
Please note that the translated file will be partially overwritten by the English file.

As far as this update is concerned, tut04.txt will be overwritten by the English version.
The automatic file update system is beneficial for English users, so I think it should be kept.

To avoid this, I thought it would be a good idea to improve the system to prioritize the tutorial mission files if there are any in the translate folder.

I love you're idea. It's like my poll viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8085 but nobody write on it.

By the way, this is a case where having the possibility to choose the language of the tutorial and de facto of the scenario would be judicious.

In this way, if for some reason X or Y one of the versions does not work, the user will be able to test the other version.

Yeah, that's pretty much what you suggested.
Maybe you were just suggesting that it would be nice to be able to choose the language.

Of course, it would be ideal if my suggestion included not only the tutorial, but also the scenario, scenario DLC, and challenges in the translation folder.

I think it's more of a risk aversion than a suggestion or ideal.

A possible risk in the future is that when the official scenarios and tutorials are updated all at once, somehow they are all replaced by the English version.

That will confuse non-English speaking users all over the world.

The latest patch v6.7.07 will not overwrite the original tutorial #4 file.

It has been improved to run the tutorial #4 without any problems, regardless of whether the tutorial text contains body lotion or bath lotion.

I have checked everything, thank you.

But are you saying that it was a "specification" that the tutorial file would be overwritten only in 6.706?
If the automatic update system of CapStart.exe updates the tutorial files.
That's a troubling spec for non-English speaking users, but I think it can only be beneficial for English users.

Now I have an idea: "If we have a translate folder, the auto-updater will not update anything but Capmain.exe".
(Because English-speaking users do not create a translate folder.)

But anyway, thank you very much.
