Capitalism Lab is made by Enlight Software, the studio that has been building business simulations for three decades. This page explains who we are, where the game came from, and how to reach us.
The studio
Enlight Software Limited is a video game studio established in 1995 by Trevor Chan and headquartered in Hong Kong. Over three decades it has built a reputation as a premier developer of strategy and simulation games, known above all for two series: Capitalism and Seven Kingdoms.
The Capitalism series
The Capitalism series is a sophisticated economic simulation that challenges players to build and scale a business empire in a competitive global market. From optimizing supply chains to executing high-stakes financial strategies, every choice drives the journey from startup to industry leader.
The Seven Kingdoms series
The Seven Kingdoms series is a historical real-time strategy experience. Players manage resources, command diverse units blending human and mythical elements, and navigate a richly detailed ancient world across seven distinct kingdoms.
Where Capitalism Lab came from
The first Capitalism established the series as the most detailed business simulation available, and Capitalism II extended it. Rather than start again, we kept building: Capitalism Lab is the direct successor to Capitalism II, and it has grown through twelve major versions of new features, new content and new scenario games.
That approach has one consequence worth stating plainly. Everyone who buys Capitalism Lab receives every future version free. There is no annual edition and no upgrade fee.
Five expansions extend the simulation in different directions — subsidiaries and public listings, city economics and public policy, a digital-age tech startup, banking, and the service industry — and an active modding community has added over 1,000 further products and industries.
