Built-in Advertising Unit

The built-in advertising unit lets you advertise products individually — and it takes up no space in the 3×3 layout of a retail store, factory, farm or warehouse.

Previously one advertising budget covered every product you were promoting. Now each product gets its own.

Opening the menu

Click the Built-in Advertising icon.

Linking media firms

You can link multiple media firms to the unit. Click the [Back] icon at the bottom right to return to the 3×3 layout.

Setting a budget per product

Select any product in the firm and use the advertising slider to set its monthly budget — as a percentage of the total monthly budget defined in the built-in advertising interface.

Worked example. Three linked media firms at $100,000 each give a total of $300,000 a month. Set a product to 20% and its budget is $60,000.

Factory advertising is now practical

Factory-based advertising was rarely worth using, because it cost layout space a factory could not spare. With the unit taking none, factories can advertise freely — which opens strategies that were not available before.
