Description
Copy either of these as-is. No attribution or approval needed.
Short — one line
Medium — one paragraph
Long — three paragraphs
Players start small — one store, one product, one city — and build outwards. Every part of a real business is modelled: purchasing and manufacturing, product design and quality, pricing and brand loyalty, advertising, distribution, staffing and training, research and development, real estate, and the stock market. The AI competitors respond to what you do, so a market you enter is a market that fights back. Success is measured the way it is measured outside the game, in market share, profit and the company’s valuation.
Expansions extend the simulation in different directions: the Subsidiary DLC lets you spin businesses off and list them on a stock exchange, the City Economic Simulation DLC makes you an entrepreneurial mayor shaping public policy, and the Digital Age DLC casts you as a tech founder at the dawn of the internet era. A large modding community adds over a thousand further products and industries. Every owner receives all future versions free.
Key Features
- The deepest business model in the genre. Manufacturing, retail, farming, mining, media, real estate and R&D, all simulated together rather than abstracted away.
- Design your own products. Set quality, brand and price, then watch how the market answers.
- Competitive AI. Rivals expand, undercut and defend their markets instead of standing still.
- Take the company public. Raise capital, buy competitors, and manage a share price.
- Five expansions covering subsidiaries and IPOs, city economics and politics, the digital age, banking, and the service industry.
- Scenario campaigns alongside open-ended sandbox play.
- Over 1,000 modded products and industries from an active community.
- Used in teaching at universities including Harvard and Stanford.
- Ten languages and free lifetime upgrades.
