Troubleshooting Mouse Lag in Capitalism Lab

Solution 1:

We’ve recently received reports of mouse lagging and low frame rate issues in Capitalism Lab specifically when users have a global FPS cap enabled in their Nvidia control panel. If you’re experiencing similar performance problems, this information might be helpful.

The issue seems to arise from a conflict between Capitalism Lab and the global Vsync and FPS cap settings (specifically the 60fps cap) within the Nvidia control panel. Disabling this global FPS cap appears to resolve the lag in Capitalism Lab.

Here’s how you can disable the FPS cap in the Nvidia control panel:
1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel (usually by right-clicking on your desktop).
2. Navigate to “Manage 3D Settings“.
3. Under the “Global Settings” tab, locate “Max Frame Rate“.
4. Change the setting to “Off” or set it to a higher value than your monitor’s refresh rate.
5. Click “Apply” to save the changes.

Alternatively, if you prefer to maintain your global FPS limit for other games, you can create a specific profile for Capitalism Lab in the Nvidia Control Panel and disable the FPS limit only for that profile.

Solution 2:

If the above solution does not resolve the problem, please try enabling the DirectDraw mode in the Capitalism Lab launcher. View the instructions.
