When enabled, technology disruption occurs continuously, causing all technology variables to decrease by 10% each year. This feature simulates the effect of existing technologies becoming less useful over time as they are replaced by newer innovations.

Even if the Technology Disruption setting is disabled, technology disruption will still be triggered if a product’s top technology exceeds 10,000,000 points. This mechanism is designed to prevent excessively large numbers, which could negatively impact playability.
