Script – Products

The [PRODUCTS] section controls what is available to make and sell, and what arrives through the seaports.

Seaports

Consumer Goods Seaports=<0 to 4>
Industrial Goods Seaports=<0 to 4>

A game with no seaport at all is possible — but AI company performance suffers badly for it. Use zero only when a scenario genuinely calls for that.

Constant Import Supply=<Yes, No>
Import Quality=<Low, Moderate, High>

Assigning specific products to a seaport

Add Seaport Product=<Product Type>

It always applies to the seaport in the first city of the game — there is no way to name a different one.

Use as many lines as you need. Consumer products, raw materials and semi-products are all valid:

Add Seaport Product=Jeans
Add Seaport Product=Mobile Phone
Add Seaport Product=Steel
Add Seaport Product=Timber
Add Seaport Product=CCD

Randomly removing product classes

Randomly Disable Product Classes=<0 to 90>

Disables that percentage of product classes at random in the new game.

Random Product Reinvention=<0 to 100>

Locks that percentage at random, and requires you and the AI competitors to reinvent them in R&D centers before they can be produced.

More about Random Product Reinvention

Disabling specific products

A separate section, listing product classes one per line:

[DISABLED PRODUCTS]
Apparel
Beverage
Drugs
Leather Goods

Note the syntax difference. Here you write the class name on its own. In the [LOCKS] section the same idea is written Product=Beverage.

Product Customization

Available only with the Subsidiary DLC or the Digital Age DLC enabled.

Product Customization=<On, Off>

On, the Product Customization tool appears in the Manufacturer’s Guide.

Turning this on disables Technology Disruption. The two are incompatible: customization needs technology levels to rise linearly, and disruption cuts them by 10% a year.

Product Customization Range=<Low, Moderate, High>

Value Customization applies to
Low Your company only.
Moderate Your company and its subsidiaries.
High All companies.
