How to Create Your Own Private Challenge Game
On the main menu, select [Single Player Game]. You will proceed to the Single Player Game screen, then select [Custom Game].
Now you will see the following screen. Select the [GOALS] tab, then select [Challenge Game].

Set the options as follows:
Set Challenge Game Mode to [On]
Set Number of Game Years to the number of years that you want the challenge game to last.

Set Ranking Method to one of the following, which determines how players are ranked in the challenge game.
- Score – ranked by the player’s score
- Total Revenue – ranked by the player corporation’s total revenue
- Total Profit – ranked by the player corporation’s total profit
- Industry Revenue – ranked by the player corporation’s revenue from specific industries. If you select this ranking method, you will have to open the [Industries] tab and select the industry/industries you want to use for ranking.
- Product Revenue – ranked by the player corporation’s revenue from specific product types. If you select this ranking method, you will have to open the [Products] tab and select the product/products you want to use for ranking (see the below example screen).
You should also set other new game settings, like the number of competitors, your start-up capital, like what you will do in setting up a normal game.
When you are done with all the game settings, you can now click the [Start] button to start the game.
If you want to increase the difficulty of the challenge game, you may let the game run for several years, allowing the AI corporations to expand their business es without the presence of the human player.
When you are ready to save it as a new challenge game, you can press [S] key. The following box will pop up and you should select [Challenge Game] and subsequently proceed to save the file.

How to send a challenge save-game file to other players for joining
In your My Documents folder, you can find “My Games” folder, under which you will find “Capitalism Lab” subfolder or “Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta” subfolder if you are using the post-release beta version.Further down the folder tree, you will find the “Challenge” folder (\MyGames\Capitalism Lab Post Release Beta\Challenge), which contains all your private challenge game files.

Now you may send a private challenge game file to your friends who want to participate via email attachment, Dropbox or other means of file transfer. When they have received the file, they can simply save the file to their “\MyGames\Capitalism Lab Post Release Beta\Challenge” folder.To play the challenge game, simply select [Challenge Game] from the Single Player Game menu.

For private challenge games, the Challenge Game Title column shows the unique id. of each challenge game, which is generated automatically by the game system.
You can see the unique id. of your challenge game from the Game Settings menu (shortcut key: F9).
