Script – Goal Rewards and Penalties
Rewards are optional, for the main goal and for subgoals alike. A subgoal can also carry penalties for failing to achieve it within its time limit.
[MAIN GOAL REWARDS]
[SUBGOAL REWARDS]
[SUBGOAL PENALTIES]
Score and cash
Score change=<-10000 to 10000>
A positive value is a bonus to the final score, a negative one a penalty.
Corporate cash change=<-1000000 to 1000000>
Changes the player’s corporate cash. The unit is millions of dollars.
Personal cash change=<-1000000 to 1000000>
Changes the player’s personal cash, also in millions.
Knowledge Points=<0 to 1000>
Awards Knowledge Points to the player.
City cash — version 12 and later
City Cash Change=<amount in $million>, <city name>
Adds to or deducts from a city government’s cash balance. City Cash Change=10, London puts $10 million into London’s balance when the goal is achieved.
Expertise
Change the expertise of the player character or of the company’s senior management.
Player expertise change=<expertise type>/<product class>, <change value>
COO expertise change=<expertise type>/<product class>, <change value>
CTO expertise change=<expertise type>/<product class>, <change value>
CMO expertise change=<expertise type>/<product class>, <change value>
You change either the skill-based expertise or the product-based expertise, not both in one line.
Skill-based — <expertise type>
- retail
- manufacturing
- farming
- research and development
- raw material production
- marketing
- training
Product-based — <product class>
Any product class in the game — Apparel, Automobile, Beverage and so on.
To read the classes your own game has, open the Product Summary Report and look at the class list at its top left. A MOD changes it.
<change value> runs from -100 to 100, positive or negative.
Technology
Tech change=<product type>, <change value -1000 to 1000>
Changes your corporation’s technology level for that product type.
Instant invention=<product type>
Your corporation invents the product type immediately.
Executive staff
CEO Salary Modifier=<1 to 200>
COO Salary Modifier=<1 to 200>
CTO Salary Modifier=<1 to 200>
CMO Salary Modifier=<1 to 200>
See the [Special Rules] section for how these work.
A modifier replaces the previous one, it does not compound. If COO Salary Modifier was 70 and a reward sets it to 50, the new salary is standard × 50% — not standard × 70% × 50%.
Staff attitude change=<COO/CTO/CMO>, <change value -100 to 100>
Changes that executive’s attitude towards you.
Staff resign=<COO/CTO/CMO>
That executive resigns immediately.
Unlocking
Anything made inaccessible in a [LOCKS] section can be unlocked here as a goal reward — which is how a lock becomes a progression rather than a permanent restriction.
