Your Own Photo & Corporate Logo
Base game · PNG files. No DLC is needed. Import your images on the PROFILE tab when you set up a new game.
How to import them
- Start a new game and stay on the PROFILE tab of the setup screen, where the CORPORATE LOGO and YOUR PORTRAIT boxes are.
- Click the YOUR PORTRAIT box to open Select Your Player Character, or the CORPORATE LOGO box to open Select Your Corporate Logo and Color.
- At the bottom of the window, next to Your Own Photo (or Your Own Logo), click Import Photo… or Import Logo… and pick a PNG file.
- The preview updates immediately. Click OK (portrait) or Select (logo) to keep it, or Cancel to go back to what you had. Remove Photo / Remove Logo returns to the built-in artwork.
What the game does with the image
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Cropping | The image is cropped from the center to the shape each slot needs, so nothing is squashed or stretched. |
| Scaling | It is scaled once, at import, to every size the game draws it at — so it stays sharp on the small in-game portrait and on the large one alike. |
| Transparency | A logo keeps its transparent background. A photo is flattened to an opaque image, matching the built-in portraits. |
| Storage | The finished images are written into the saved game header, so they travel with the save — including a challenge game you share. |
Once imported, the images appear everywhere the game draws your portrait or your company logo — corporation screens, reports, news, rankings, the save/load menu, and your company’s signs on the city map.
You are still picking a character and a logo. The custom image replaces only the picture. The character you highlight in the grid still supplies your sex and the default names; the built-in logo you pick still identifies your company; and your corporate color still drives the map overlays and charts. One consequence: an imported photo has no talking-portrait video, so clicking a custom large portrait does nothing — that is a feature of the built-in characters.
Picking a good source image. Square images work best, since most of the sizes the game uses are square. Aim for at least 300×300 for a photo and 150×150 for a logo so the largest sizes stay sharp; anything smaller still works, it will just look soft when enlarged. This release accepts PNG files, up to 8192 pixels a side and 20 MB. For a logo, export it with a transparent background — it will sit far better on the game’s panels than a white box.
