The “New Cities Will Emerge” Option
The Experimental DLC can let entirely new cities appear as the years pass — which changes regional competition, market opportunity and long-term planning together.

A world that keeps growing
Enabled, the game is no longer limited to its initial set of cities. New ones emerge over time, each with its own population, its own demand patterns and its own competitive landscape — so a long campaign becomes a world your corporate empire has to keep adapting to.
The settings
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Emerge starting from this year | The first year a new city may appear. Set it early for expansion throughout the game, or late for a mid- or late-game surge of new markets. |
| Years between new city emergence | The interval between arrivals. Shorter accelerates the expansion; longer gives a more measured, strategic pace. |
| Total new cities to emerge | The cap for the whole playthrough. |
Why it changes the game
- Expanding markets reward early movers. A new city is an opening nobody has taken yet.
- Supply chains, logistics and regional dominance need re-evaluating every time the map grows.
- Long games stay alive, with geography and economic centers that shift rather than settle.
Most valuable if you enjoy multi-decade simulations and want the world itself to keep moving, not just the companies in it.
